Real Estate Training FAQ Volume 3 – Am I too Young to be in Real Estate

Wow. I’ve had this question a few times, and the person who asked it this time did it so well, I allowed this question to jump the queue and I instantly answered it and posted it.

Please forgive my informal dress, hardly becoming of a professional real estate trainer I know, haha. Oh well, those of you who know me know this is how I dress anyway, outside of the training world.

Anyway, on with the answer to the question ‘Am I too Young?’

    Hi Mr Twiddle,

    I have watched a couple of videos and find you to be very inspiring! I am a 24 year old mother to a 4 year old. I have just applied for your pack via email and looking forward to getting into it. I am at a stage where things are changing in my life, I am moving to Qld and am committed to making the most out of this new start. What is the best way for a complete novice to step into this profession? Are you aware of any traineeships offered within the industry?

    Hey Tamika,

    There are a few traineeships, and there’s certainly opportunities everywhere if you are ready to absolutely smash it.

    So the best way for a complete novice to step into this new profession is to do whatever it takes to get a start, study your butt off, even if that means sitting at reception for a year, getting paid a wage to learn, while you absolutely immerse yourself in the skills required.

    A great student of mine studied for about 8 months with me before starting, then he hooked in, sold four out of his first five listings for more than list price, and is an absolute gun.

    It’s all about learning the best ways to market yourself and position yourself, but you’ll hear more about that in the pack you mentioned you ordered.

    Hi Glenn,

    Thank you for your reply and sorry to be bothering you again! The pack that was offered in the email does not seem to be available anymore, this may be because I had already clicked the link before coming back to it again.. Is there some other way to take advantage of the trial pack offer?

    All sorted. Just letting you know, when ordering it only gives you the option to put a US state down and you need to add an extra digit to your postal code for the order to go through.
